2021 Updates for IHTC

2020 was a difficult year for all, and yet the Intimate Hypnosis Training Center experienced growth, both in number of students but also in launching a new community activist course, Hypnosis for Community Wellness. At the beginning of 2021, we are updating curricula and preparing for another year of offering online hypnosis courses. We also gave the website a new look!

Pre-requisite: 100 hours of hypnosis training and/or certification.

Hypnosis for Sex Problems has a new instructor, Marcos Carvalos from Brazil, a 2020 graduate of HSP. He will be teaching in both English and Portuguese. We are currently translating Hypnosis for Sex Problems into Portuguese and hope to have that done by the end of the year.

2020 graduates also include psychologist and sex therapist, and Desiree Robinson, MSW, ACS. Both graduates are currently in PhD sex therapy programs.

Hypnosis for Sex Problems starts up again on Feb. 15, 2021. UPDATE: Enrollment is now closed for this session.

We had four graduates from our Hypnosis for Community Wellness course in 2020: Kryss Diven (Ann Arbor, MI), Emily Kandagawa (Occupied Hawaiian Kingdom), Nimisha Agarwal (India) and Akshaya Nim (India). We are currently holding supplemental hypnosis practice sessions via Zoom.

In 2021 there will be four scholarships for Hypnosis for Community Wellness. Fall 2021 Course dates TBA, in order to allow plenty of time for revision.

Certification through the National Guild of Hypnotists.

This course is on hold until the pandemic is over as it requires 75 hours of in-person instruction. However you can learn the basics of hypnosis online–a 25 hour course.

If you want information about any of the above, please get in touch.

This is not the first time I’ve given scholarships to hypnosis students, but this year, 2020, I want to award TEN scholarships to celebrate the launch of the new online Hypnosis for Community Health Program, which will start August 1st. This means that we’ll have a great cohort of learners for this program. (This course is $1,500 without a scholarship.)

These scholarships are reserved for Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (as a form of reparations); LGBTQIA+ people; people with disabilities; and people who are recent immigrants to the U.S. but who are experiencing discrimination as a result of their ethnicity or religion.

Two of the ten scholarships are reserved for people who suffer from multiple chemical sensitivity (also known as TILT and environmental illness).

Participants will earn a certificate of completion when they finish this 150-hour, 15 week course.

Applicants must have at least one year’s experience in community or professional service and/or activism in issues such as:

  • Black Lives Matter and similar organizations;
  • anti-facist organizing;
  • Covid-19 public health/mental health;
  • general health;
